I'm using 1.6.1/i386 (1) booted of a CD and (2) booted off a hard drive.

My DHCP server is the Linksys router.

Mine looks like that, but with dhclient_flags="-q ep0"

As does mine.

You are more fortunate than I, it appears.

I did, and I have them available to view.

Nope.

I thought so as well, because this setup should work.

At: othyro.freeshell.org/dhcp/

there is the files:

dhclient.conf, dhclient-script, ifconfig.ep0, netstart.local, rc.conf, tcpd, tcpd2, tcpd3.

I let the machine boot to the hard drive with those files in /etc.
Then after getting NODHCPOFFERS, I killed dhclient and ran tcpdump -s 1500 -w tcpd -ep0 &.

No dice. Moved dhclient.conf and dhclient-script to .old files and reran tcpdump to get tcpd2 and tcpd3.

I tried many configurations with ifconfig. Tried to give it 192.168.1.100, which is what the machines gets under Win2k (I had to install something to get online).

I also tried to 'route add 192.168.1.1 default' and that didn't work either.

Maybe the files I've uploaded will give someone more of a clue than me. =|

Thanks to Mr. Boyer and Mr. Pino for responding.
