Which suggests adding those lines to /etc/rc.conf.d/postfix
(a user configuration file), not /etc/rc.d/postfix (a system script).
The problem with your approach is that your changes will be lost
the next time you run NetBSD's /etc/postinstall, because it will
upgrade /etc/rc.d/postfix.
