kldstat is FreeBSD's tool for displaying status of loaded FreeBSD kernel
modules (like NetBSD's modstat).

(I don't know VMWare, but I don't think NetBSD's FreeBSD compatibility of
system calls includes FreeBSD kernel modules support.)
