I have agp0 problem too. Actually this is the reason why I use netbsd.
On FreeBSD agp0 causes panic during kernel loading, luckly I was able
to install netbsd and then use the installer's kernel, which doesn't
contain agp, for the first boot, then make a kernel without agp.

That's what happening to me. This morning I found it won't boot.
Pressing "power on", nothing happens except the led is light.
No beep, no prompt, black screen. I'm contacting IBM right now.

I'm not sure if it is an X problem. When it crashed days ago
(that time I see vertical bars) I was compiling on console, I don't
remeber the details, but I think I didn't start X that day, all is working
on console. But last night I *was* using mozilla, and it crashed, I
just put it aside to deal with the problem today because it was really
too late. And it never boot after then. Anyway, I never have agp0 running
lik you.
