After about 3 days, I have finally managed to compile mplayer (works fine).

Thank you for your help, but I'm on dialup on an unsupported PCI modem, so
really, there is only the hard way.
I untarred pkgsrc, and manually get all the distfiles, having to reboot
each time into an OS which supports my modem.
This take a lot of time, but it works. Conflicting packages is the worst, I
have the 6 package cd's, but most of it needs recompiling as later versions
are needed.
I was thinking of writing a script:
pkgsrc ogle
-gets distinfo
-gets all dependecy distinfo
-spits out a list of filenames, sizes and md5's, if not on package cd's
I know this is sort of against the point of pkgsrc, but pkgsrc makes
compiling a lot easier.
Thanks
