Hello,

just got me few old Intel EtherExpress 8/16 ISA cards, and i am trying
to get 2 of these going on a 1.6.1 box. After some research Ive found
Intel's softset utility and now I have both cards show up in dmesg but
for some reason they do not work:

ix0 at isa0 port 0x300-0x30f iomem 0xd0000-0xd7fff irq 10 drq i82586_cmd_wait: timo(sync): scb status: 0xffff, cmd: 0xffff
ix1 at isa0 port 0x260-0x26f iomem 0xc8000-0xcffff irq 11 drq i82586_cmd_wait: timo(sync): scb status: 0xffff, cmd: 0xffff

Trying to ifconfig any of these:

ifconfig: SIOCGIFFLAGS ix0: Device not configured


Any suggestions are welcome.
