Hello,

yesterday I tried to install the binary package Emacs for NetBSD 1.6,
but Emacs refused to start. Emacs was missing a file Xaw*.so.7 (Sorry
that I didn't note the exact name - I'm not yet connected to
E-Mail-Service with NetBSD and therfore have to switch the system).

I tried out emacs-20.7.tgz and emacs-21.2.tgz, and I installed also
Xaw-Xpm-1.1.tgz and Xaw3d-1.5.tgz because it seemed to me, that it
could have to do with my problem. I don't yet use X Window system, but
that should not imply a problem (on other machines I run Emacs without
X, even on a NetBSD system).

What helps?

Regards
  Thomas
