I'm trying to get PCMICA up and running on my laptop with NetBSD 1.6 using
the generic laptop kernel to use a D-Link DWP-650 802.11b card.

The PCMCIA controller is a TI PCI4410 PC-Card/FireWire device.

dmesg reports:

cbb0 at pci0 dev 10 function 0: Texas Instruments PCI4410 PCI-CardBus Bridge
w/ OHCI IEEE 1394 Controller (rev. 0x02)
Texas Instruments PCI4410 OHCI IEEE 1394 HOST Controller w/ PCI-CardBus
Bridge (Firewire serial bus, interface 0x10, revision 0x02) at pci0 dev 10
function 1 not configured

If I start the machine with the 802.11b card in the LED lights for a moment
during boot but then goes out again with dmesg not mentioning any wi?
devices.

Any suggestions where to go from here?

Chris
