I tried X on 1.6 generic kernel in a friend's laptop, he has not problems
with that kernel, NetBSD installed flawlessly there, but can't make X work.
We both never configured X for laptop computers before. I have been
searching for info, and I found there is another tool for configuring X:
xf86cfg (I always used xf86config on FreeBSD and XF86Setup back when I used
linux). I don't mind not being able to use the video card for the moment, I
would like at least being able to have a working X in our laptop screen, no
mather what the resolution or color depth. any sugestion? Is there a
"default" configuration for Laptops I could look for? I mean, for LCD active
matrix screens.
