Believe it or not I use it as a desktop system on a Pentium 4.
I like the design, the stability, the Unix "roots" combined with
interesting innovations, and the lack of bloat. FreeBSD had frequent 
kernel panics on my system, and Linux, as someone else has said, 
just doesn't have feng-shui. Oh yes, and pkgsrc rocks. :-)
