I run NetBSD along with a lone Linux box because:

- It runs on all but one of my machines, i386, Sparc and Vax.
The exception is a Macintosh LC with a crippled PMMU.
- The rc scripts are simple to create and modify.
- The manual pages are of a high quality.
- People less lazy than me maintain a great archive of upto
   date software (pkgsrc).
- The mailing lists are friendly and informed.
- I don't get dragged into the "Debian is the one true OS" debate
by bearded, chunky knit sweater wearing Linux fanatics at local
   LUG meetings. Ahem.
