hi folks,

I tried to copy a 600 MB file to my Apple (Running mac OS X 10.2.2) via NFS.
But that seemed to fill ram on my NFS server (i386, NetBSD 1.6).
Then I tried ftp. Same effect.

to get what I see, use top in one shell and do
cat out1.avi | wc -c
in another.

that big file cache is taking too much memory:

Memory: 224M Act, 115M Inact, 228K Wired, 9132K Exec, 296M File, 5828K Free
Swap: 499M Total, 499M Free

This even happens with softdep off.

any ideas?
