Recently, I've tried to install (boot) NetBSD 1.6 on my laptop.
(Toshiba Sat. 2805-S301). The bootup freezes upon the detection of my
wireless network interface (Dlink DWL-650). Two wi0: lines are printed,
then the third is either wi0: init failed, or wi0:, and thats where the
entire box halts. I have found a couple references to similar problems
but really no solution. I tried installing the same, on a Toshiba
Satellite 1905-S301 (much newer model, despite the lower#) and it works
without a hitch, (same wi nic and all) which leads me to believe its
cardbus/lack there of related, but thats just a guess.
Lastly, if I get the OS (network) installed via the builtin network
card, is there some kernel option to add/remove, that would allow this to work?

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thank You
Jeff
