Well, NetBSD will send bytes to the device, so, yes, but that's probably
not what you mean.  
Unless it's a Postscript printer, the answer will be found in the cups and
ghostscript packages.  

I gave up my ink jet in favor of a small postscript laser printer.  I
don't get color, but I always get pages.
