Thanks to the people who replied. I did some extra digging last night and
found out what I needed to do.

Subject: Help with Disk parameters

Hi.

We just installed an IDE RAID array using an Adaptec 2400a. Looks like a
nice product...but here's my thing.

The drive comes up as 57241 MB, 7297 Cyl, 255 heads, 63 Sec, 512 bytes/sec

I did a disklabel to get the numbers our and wrote them back to the drive
after editing them.

When I try to newfs a partition it says:

With 16065 Sectors/Cylinder the minimum cyl/group is 64, block size must be
changed from 8192 to 32768 and fragment size changed from 1024 to 4096

What the heck to I change??? My first instinct is to change it in the
partition table, but I feel like I would be screwing something up if I
didn't cover all the bases properly.

Any advice?

Frank
