Checked the mans, the archives and the docs first. Nothing there to steer
by.
Brutus is my NetBSD box. I setup and configured samba just the same as I
did on 5 linux boxen, with the exception that I never saw the winbind
options in the other (samba-2.2.1a-4) configs.
When I try connecting to the NetBSD Server for a W98 client, I get:
\\Brutus is not Accessible
The specified computer did not receive your request. Try again later.
No problems connecting with any of the other machines from any of the
other machines. Netbios server is working fine.
Here's a log entry:
[2002/08/27 03:45:21, 1] smbd/files.c:file_init(166)
file_init: Information only: requested 10000 open files, 1762 are
available.
[2002/08/27 03:45:31, 0] lib/access.c:check_access(333)
Denied connection from (192.168.0.127)
[2002/08/27 03:45:31, 1] smbd/process.c:process_smb(870)
Connection denied from 192.168.0.127
I checked the parms, no problem. I'm logged into the server via sshd 24/7,
so tcp/ip connection is not an issue.
I did a google search for lib/access.c:check_access(333) which referred to
tcp_wrappers. Problem: tcp_wrappers-7.6.1nb1 is not available for
NetBSD-1.5.2-i386. So access is denied....
Any thoughts? Solutions? Places to look? The site is still down...
TIA
