Doh! I shoulda checked just a little more thoroughly before i sent this
message. When i sent it i hadn't discovered that all of the following are
actually symlinks to /usr/sbin/mailwrapper, and as sym links, would not
need to be updated in the installation process:

/usr/bin/hoststat
/usr/bin/mailq
/usr/bin/newaliases
/usr/bin/purgestat
/bin/rmail
/usr/sbin/sendmail
/usr/libexec/sm.bin

 As someone is probably halfway through explaining in a as of yet unsent
message :-), sendmail is really in /usr/libexec/sendmail/sendmail, and
this in binary was updated by the "make install."

My bad.
