i believe that /dev/pms0 may help you :)
but i never used it 'cause i love /dev/wsmouse
(X from a certain version support it... obvious
that you must have a kernel that see your mouse
and support the wsmouse device)
look for documentation on your hard disk on how
use the wsmouse.
