I'm trying to compile oo_641 on my 1.5.2 system.
On my second attempt tt says:
..fatal server error
can't establish listening sockets..
make sure an X server isn't running.

I've used startx to test X and set up XFConfig parameters but xdm=no
so X is not running.

Are there other files I need to hide?

There is /tmp/.X11-unix and a .DCOP file in root which I think was setup when I
ran startkde for the first time. I removed them.

In general, how do I compile an application without X interference?

Thanks
