Erm 'large area flicker' makes refresh rates below 85Hz unusable
- especially since the manufacturers thisnk 'high speed phosphers'
are a good thing!

I'd like to run at 100Hz - but the adapter and monitor definitions
don't seem to want to let me run at more than 85Hz.
(monitor and card are capable of 1600x1200 @ 90Hz)
Clearly I could sit and work out some dot frequencies and
porch sizes - but why can't the s/w do that?
