The only idea that comes to my mind is to ask VERY KINDLY package
maintainers to write some files (preferrably with a standardized name
like "netbsd-*addendums*.txt"). Maintainers would work with them the
same way they work with DESCR.
The files would contain a comparison of original documentation to how
the package works in NetBSD.

I really liked the answer of Rene Huxel and personally I would recommend
to directly copy-and-paste it into a 'netbsd-addendums.txt' file. :-)

Finally an apology: my problem was not in pam-ldap, but in a different
package named PAM. Fortunately, the maintainer of both packages was the
same person that could give me a big picure. In this case the point was
to say that PAM, one of the required packages, doesn't work for system
accounts, and that you need to do this and this to make other software
to use PAM library and therefore also make PAM-LDAP work.
