I am having trouble installing the sun-jre-1.3. I'm running 1.5.2.

I've read up on the pkgsrc system, but not enough to track back those
error messages. I tried creating the directory that is missing, but that
doesn't help because it's still empty and there's no file to patch.

I'm running some pre-built binaries for suse, since I can't find a version
that will compile for my system (the latest seems to require newer system.
earlier ones seem to reference absent distfiles). Should I upgrade my core
system to something beyond 1.5.2?

Much abliged for your assistence. I'd also appreciate any more references
about running java on NetBSD.
