I have downloaded and installed the Emacs package from ftp.netbsd.org. While
it installed with no problem, it will not run. When I type "emacs", I get:

Shared object "libXaw.so.7" not found

I know that this is an X-Window thing, and that Emacs has X-Window support,
but why do I need to have X installed just to run Emacs. Is there a way
around this, aside from installing from pkgsrc?

Thanks,

Jeff Flowers
