Did you read the FAQ on setting up a bootable NetBSD CD? I seem to recall
that the instructions there were quite complete (though if you are using
something MS-WINDOWS to burn the CD, you may be using a less
straightforward CD burning program).

While it's great to be able to burn your own CD's, it's not really
necessary. You might save yourself some headache by doing one of:

 * Buy a bootable CD.

 * Use a non-bootable CD with a NetBSD boot-floppy.  (I think that the
   boot-image used by CD's can-be/is larger than will fit on a
   floppy---at least for the i386 port. So it is conceivable that
   going this route will fail to recognize some of your hardware
   during installation. That's not a problem as long as it can read
   your CD drive and access your hard disk...which, in turn, is
   probably not going to be a problem.)
