Hi,

I'm attempting to do an FTP install of NetBSD 1.5.2 using the
boot{1,2}.fs floppy set. The DHCP autoconfiguration works fine, but
sysinst claims that it cannot ping either the gateway or the DNS
server (it doesn't say which). However, if I suspend sysinst, I can
ping both of these from the shell. Pinging random Internet hosts by
name works also, so both DNS and routing are functional. Is there any
way to convince sysinst that the network is in fact up and operating
correctly?

I came across a PR on GeoCrawler that describes a similar problem
("install/9682") , but there doesn't appear to be any followup
messages. Although probably a coincidence, both the author of that PR
and I have 3COM cards in our machines. Mine is a 3C920 on-board,
which I believe is the same family as Mr. White's 3C905.

Thanks,

        Sean
