Hi Mitja,

You are trying to configure two interfaces on the same subnet. The
reason that only the first card accepts traffic is because it has
adopted the route for 10.0.1.0/24, and will accept packets for
10.0.1.97, also, because that is on the same subnet.

You need to put your cards on mutually exclusive subnets. (Maybe use
something like 10.0.2.97 for the 2nd card, or use a more restrictive
netmask for both cards).
