Okay.  I think I fixed it.  I had to download the pre-compiled pkg =
(jpeg-6b.tgz) and do a pkg_add on that.  I don't know if it actually =
fixed the library, or if there was even a problem to begin with, but =
gimp is installing now and hasn;t run into the same issue.
