Hi all,

first off, thx for your fast answers... :^))

I do have a swap partition of 1024 MB (RAM is 512 MB)... hmmmm ...

I totally forgot ... a few days before the first crash we installed
an old adaptec 2940 scsi controller because we need to do backups
to a dds3 drive.
Maybe the controller is the reason for the crashes?

The machine has been running for 4 weeks with that RAM and never had any
problems during that time.

Some of you mentionend memory checkers, anyone know where I can
get such a program?

thanx in advance
:^)
