Hi - Just installed NetBSD 1.5.2 on a Compaq Professional Workstation
based on the Intel Pentium Pro chip. It has an onboard LAN adapter, but
the Generic Kernel brings up an interesting error.. Here is all the
Network Card specifics...

tl0 at pci1 dev 11 function 0
tl0: Compaq ProLiant Integrated Netelligent 10/100TX
tl0: Ethernet Address (insert MAC address here)
tl0: interrupting at arq 11
nsphy0 at tl0 phy 1: DP83840 10/100 media interface, rev. 0
nsphy0: 10baseT, 10baseT-FDX, 100baseTX, 100baseTX-FDX, auto
tlphy0 at tl0 phy 31: ThunderLan 10baseT media interface, rev. 5
tlphy0: 10base2

Other devices load in, then just before the wsdisplay entries...

tl0: DAD detected duplicate IPv6 address (Insert IPv6 IP address here): 1
NS, 0 NA
tl0: DAD complete for (same IPv6 address as above) - duplicate found
tl0: manual intervention required

Just to clarify, at no time did I set IPv6 in the installation routine,
and no other machines on the network are using IPv6 either. IPv4 works
just fine however.

Is this a problem waiting to happen, or is it something of no concern?

Many thanks

Steve Brown
