Hi again, 

I'm considering getting a laptop for use as a Known Quantity when my
so-called friends have Windows problems that they think are network
troubles.  I'd like to know if anyone has any advice for what NetBSD
will be really really happy with.  

I saw a HP Omnibook 4000 PII 233 w/ 96MB for $500, which sounded like
just the ticket. 

I know the 3Com PCI Ethernet cards are well supported, but I really
don't know beans about PCMCIA or cardbus devices.  

I'd be happy to hear any experiences, recommendations, warnings, or
unchecked opinions.
