Hi,

I recently added a third ide harddrive to my i386 system.
(running 1.4.3A).
Cause of the very limited space in the small cover, it was physically
struggeling to get it in there :-) but now, after all works
again, my system is much slower after adding the third ide disk.

its like: wd0 is boot device, wd2 hosts the /home fs.
wd1, the new disk is just there sitting at the moment.
I'll attach the dmesg for wd* output. Any hints what i can do to speed things
up again, exept for removing the new hd?
Do i need to disable the PIO mode perhaps and use DMA only or?
Bye,

Mipam.
