hi,

"rtk0: watchdog timeout" is the problem (nic = realtek 8139).

i run the GENERIC kernel v1.5. an update isn't possible (nic would be needed).
openbsd and freebsd work fine on the box (although freebsd had some issues
in the beginning too - i disabled bios pnp support and everything was fine).

any ideas?

p.s.: setting media to 10baseT will not work (this was a temporary solution
proposed earlier somewhere).
