Manuel,

Yes, quite certain that it is a switch. It is a "Netgear 5-port Fast Ethernet
Switch -- model FS105". Have green lights for 100M (no light for 10M) and also
green lights for FDX (no yellow for collision). I've been keeping one eye 
glued to those lights ever since I bought the thing. The only difference in 
the alternate ftp exchange is the rate at which they blink on/off (never 
yellow). And only the 100M lights ever blink. Never do the FDX lights blink.
