I saw the message as several lines with = signs at the end of the lines,
followed by a bunch of HTML junk.  All lines stayed within my 80-character
screen width.  Remedy is to set Outlook Express for one-part plain-text
messages.

What is 'finger tknorris', and does it work when not connected to the Internet?
