Howdy Okan,

I am only running KDE 1.1.2. I'm no guru, but on my machine
it starts easily by either of these two ways

After boot, on the command line, thus:

# kdm

At boot, via a line at the end of /etc/rc.local

# Start the KDE display manager
#
# echo 'Starting KDE display manager.'
/usr/X11R6/bin/kdm

If that doesn't work, then I'm out of clues
and so must commend you to real gurus

Regards,

Gan
