Ha yes, that's it. The hostname of your machine needs to be set, so that
nmbd can announce it to other computer (I think there is a smb.conf option
to override it).

Put your host name in /etc/myname and it will be set as root.
No need to reboot, type
hostname `cat /etc/myname`
as root and restart nmbd. It should now work !
