I doubt that the Mac uses it asynchronously, as I am using it with OS 
7.5.5, which I think was before the Mac went SCSI-async.

I suspect that it wants the ncr driver, but I need the sbc driver to 
use my 2-gig quantum! So I think I am stuck, unless I dig into the 
driver myself. I might, being currently unemployed.
