I am tryimg to get a Cannon 2100 printer to work with the USB
connection.

I am using /dev/ulpt0 on an i386 platform with 1.5.1 but no data seems
to
get to the printer.

I have tried using lptest > /dev/ulpt0 but the printer dose nothing.

If I reset the printer I can see it disconnect and reconnect on the
console.

Any suggestions?

also any help or examples on seting up printcap and the filter files
would be apreciated. should I install the CUP package or any other
printer package? filter
