This looks normal, if you hit a key. (What key is BRS, anyway?) Try
putting the floppy in the drive, rebooting the computer, and just
waiting.
Are you sure the above message is really what it said? The first
lines look very normal. What I've experienced is:
* BIOS screens flash by.
* Machine reads boot record from floppy 1. Prints the first few lines
of text which you quote above.
* Counter counts down from 5 to 0, if I don't press any key.
* Machine reads most of kernel from floppy 1. The little twirler
twirls, and the reading takes a few minutes. It prints some size
numbers (maybe 3 different numbers?) while the twirler's twirling.
* It asks me to insert disk 2; I do that, then hit return.
* The twirler twirls some more, while it reads the rest of the kernel.
* It boots, sysinst runs, etc.
At what stage in this process are you running into trouble?
