It is one of the NetBSD Project's goals to have the NetBSD kernel
as a whole be suitable for that kind of purpose. This is why we do
not incorporate GPL-ed code into the kernel. And this is also
why we're working it out with Darren such that what you are
doing is still possible, as it was before. He has indicated that this
should not be a problem.

Remember, Darren has said that his change of license was meant as
a clarification. The intention of the license hasn't changed, and
we have never (and I am sure that he has never) seen it as standing
in the way of the kind of redistribution (i.e. a modified NetBSD
ernel) that you are doing.

To be short: we'll announce it when we're "formally ready" (ugh,
I hate to be all official and legal about it), but I wouldn't expect
any problems.
