This list is appropriate.

The easier way would be to use the xmms already packaged for NetBSD.

This pkgsrc xmms contains a variety of patches to make it work under
NetBSD.

The easiest would be to use the precompiled packages. According to
ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/packages/pkgsrc/audio/xmms/README.html, it
looks like a few packages for versions 1.0.1 and 1.2.4 are available.

For more info:

 /usr/pkgsrc/Packages.txt (when pkgsrc is installed)
