Hello,
I would like (and I tried) to install NetBSD-1.5.1 beta 2 via ftp on my
Dell laptop.
I have a Realport Ethernet 10/100+modem 56 card (REM56G-100).
it is not cardbus one!
I have downloaded the latest bootlap.fs.
But after the boot, the installer says that nothing was detected for the
network.
dmesg says that the modem was recognized :
com3 at pcmcia1 function 0 : serial device
com3 : ns16550a, working fifo
but nothing about the ethernet interface.
Reading the web page of a netbsd developper, I really have the feeling
that my card should be supported
(http://www.sprc.qut.edu.au/~mcgarry/netbsd/ethernet/)
by the driver xi.
Why doesn't it work ?
Is ther a bug somewhere ?
Help !!!
(please cc to my email adress, as didn't subscribe to the mailing lists)
