totally lame but here goes my problem: on an old netbsd 1.4.2 machine i changed the ifaliases file. now the machine only hangs at
boot time while setting the first alias.

how can i mount the hard drive using the boot disks in order to be able to correct my config? i have read the mount manual pages but
still can't figure what block numbers mount needs.

any pointers would be very helpfull.
