The man page wasn't absolutely clear to me, so I'll check with the gurus.
Should the following work using split sets, e.g., base.aa-base.bw, assuming
all partitions have been mounted on /mnt or thereunder?  TIA.

	cat base.?? |(cd /mnt;tar xzpf -)
