I just installed a NetBSD and a bunch of packages onto my
Decstation. Every thing went well until I got lazy and tried to clone the
installed system onto a newer, quieter drive rather than doing a fresh
install.
I copied the / and /usr file systems from the old drive to the new
one using pax. The newly cloned system had a few quirks until I remade the
device files, but after that every thing seemed fine on the cloned system
except that su always fails (just says sorry). It works fine on the old
disk. What have I done wrong? (other than being lazy)
