My NetBSD system dual boots with Win '98, and I'm wondering how I can
give non-root users permission to write to the mounted MS-DOS drives. I
tried chmod, but the permissions don't get changed.
drwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 8192 Jan 1 1980 c
drwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 12288 Jan 1 1980 d
drwxr-xr-x 2 root wheel 512 Jan 23 06:43 e
drwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 8192 Jan 1 1980 f
drwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 4096 Jan 1 1980 g
After running (as root) 'chmod 777 /c' the permissions are exactly the same.
Here's /etc/fstab:
/dev/sd1a / ffs rw 1 1
/dev/sd1b none swap sw 0 0
/dev/sd1e /usr ffs rw 1 2
/dev/sd0e /c msdos rw 0 0
/dev/sd2e /d msdos rw 0 0
/dev/sd3h /usr1 ffs rw 1 2
/dev/sd4e /e msdos rw 0 0
/dev/sd5e /f msdos rw 0 0
/dev/sd6e /g msdos rw 0 0
/dev/cd0d /cd0 cd9660 ro 0 0
/dev/cd1d /cd1 cd9660 ro 0 0
/kern /kern kernfs rw
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Dave Chapman
