I have used the following code snippet in /etc/rc.local

if [ -f /etc/addstaticroutes ]; then
	/etc/addstaticroutes
fi

The file /etc/addstaticroutes looks like this.

route add -net 10.1.1.0 -netmask 255.255.255.0 10.1.0.253
route add -net 10.1.2.0 -netmask 255.255.255.0 10.1.0.253
route add -net 10.1.3.0 -netmask 255.255.255.0 10.1.0.254
