I think I'm getting mad... I cannot get my NetBSD 1.5/i386 host to print
on my printer with lpd. I *can* print by copying a postscript file to
/dev/lpa2.
Heres my printcap entry:
lp|QMS-PS 810 PostScript:\
:lp=/dev/lpa2:sd=/var/spool/lpd/lp:lf=/var/log/lpd-errs:
If I switch the printer to HP emulation (so it can print plain ascii), I
get *very* strange output when I print any plain text file: a page with a
few "d"s spaced widely and a couple of "a"s right next to each other. Then
a blank page.
In postscript when I use lpr, the printer starts flashing the error LED to
tell me that the postscript it has received is bad.
WHAT am I doing wrong?
