Hi all :)

I am running 1.4.3 und I'm trying to use a 3Com 3c905B-TX. The LED on the
card isn't on. Before you ask: I tried several cables and they worked
fine with other machines. :-) Here are some more informations:

monster:~ 1# uname -a
NetBSD monster 1.4.3 NetBSD 1.4.3 (GENERIC) #0: Mon Dec 11 16:09:52 PST
2000 root@monster:/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/GENERIC i386

ex0 at pci0 dev 10 function 0: 3Com 3c905B-TX 10/100 Ethernet
ex0: interrupting at irq 9
ex0: MAC address 00:10:4b:b6:e4:27
exphy0 at ex0 phy 24: 3Com internal media interface
exphy0: 10baseT, 10baseT-FDX, 100baseTX, 100baseTX-FDX, auto

monster:~ 3# ifconfig ex0
ex0: flags=8863<UP,BROADCAST,NOTRAILERS,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu
1500
	media: Ethernet autoselect (10baseT)
	status: no carrier
	inet 129.13.98.189 netmask 0xffff0000 broadcast 129.13.255.255

And I changes the media from autoselect to 100baseTX to 10baseT but that
didn't change the status. :|

Next I thought that the card might be out of order. To test it, I
installed l*nux. And then the LED was on and I was connected to the net.

Any hints?

Regards,

Andrea
