Hi all.
I have an odd problem with a new 1.5 install. I have an Adaptec
2390U2 card and an IBM DNES 309170 disk. The 1.5 install seems
quite healthy until I try to mount either mount a cdrom:

cd0 at atapibus0 drive 1: <RICOH CD-R/RW MP7040A, , 1.1j> type 5 cdrom

or an old 1.4.2 NetBSD ATA 66 disk:

wd0(pciide0:0:0): using PIO mode 4, Ultra-DMA mode 2 (using DMA data
transfers)

the system hangs. That is, it times out, freezes, stops responding, etc.

After a 20 second lapse I can cd into the mounted filesystem only to
see the system hang again. It's really odd. The mb is a FIC VA 503+.
I have real mem = 200867840. I'm still running the generic 1.5 kernel.
